I’ve been on a few dates with someone who has been late. Every. Single. Time. They always apologize and offer an explanation, but I feel disrespected. Once there, they are engaged and seem into me. What do I do?

Who knows why it’s happening - all you have to know is that it’s a pattern, and you have to know yourself well enough to know whether you’re willing to put up with it.

It’s not up to you to fix it, it’s just up to you to decide whether you’re willing to put up with someone who is chronically late.

Not that it really matters, but you’re in the early stages of a relationship, and so there’s no reason to continue seeing this person if their tardiness is already an issue for you.

If you feel disrespected, then examine the reasons behind why you’re being triggered.

It’s handy sometimes to play around with the information. It won’t necessarily change your decision, but it is interesting to investigate why…and it’ll set you up with clearer parameters re: how you expect your your next/future dates to behave.

Here's DAD's Soundtrack of the Day, picked especially to go with today's question. Enjoy!
